I really do not know where you find all these women. I am one myself and have plenty of female friends and colleagues and none of them has fake nails, none wears lots of makeup (just for special occasions like weddings, parties) and we never really talk about shoes or bags, we just use them (and personally I don't have a lot). I mean, yeah, I see women like that on the public transport or in the supermarket sometimes but that's really just a few.

They can deny it as much as they want but they do it to impress not only woman but also man. You’re doing it to impress other people to validate yourself/attract a mate to make you feel good. You don’t get home after a long day, spend 2 hours on make up, put on heels to sit down and watch Netflix? ‘Dressing for yourself’ means messy bun and pyjamas, you wear makeup and dress up to impress other people, same way people buy designer clothes etc inb4 ‘I don’t *insert bullshit excuse*’ or ‘well MEN do it too!!’

For fucks sake! How many of this proclaiming makeup don't care guys would be surprised that the no make up look is actually make up... Just well done and decent. Because that's what it's supposed to be. Support the natural beauty and not overwrite it. But if girls would shit on doing nails and let it grow and all that stuff, you would be the first ones to complain. And shit no, at least I can say that for myself, I'm absolutely not doing it for other girls, couldn't care less to be honest.

About 10 years ago I used to be gym rat. Spending my free time there. But never followed a diet and ate whatever i wanted. So no 6 pack visible. People kept telling me to follow a diet to lose the extra fat (it was between 10 and 12%) but I really didn't care about looking good to women. I only wanted to be as strong as i can and big and scary. It made getting it trouble with douches almost impossible. Once some taxi driver tried to rip me off, he didn't take a good look at me before i got in and it was dark. He started to shit talk when I didn't want to pay the price he asked for. I came out of the car and he came out. Took a good look, found out that he fucked up. Apologised and agreed to take the usual amount for the trip. Damn it felt good.
