People seem to idolize love to a point, where it's more about the idea of love, the concept of it rather than the partner itself. People can't even be happy on their own nowadays, so they're looking for a substitute and try to find that in a partner, until they realize that the other person isn't a mindless zombie who is just there to fullfil their needs buta complex person, with it's own problems, needs etc.

Yup. BIG time. Can't believe how many times I had to explain that to people in an abusive relationship. Most of the time they just complain that their partner treat them badly as if they had nothing to do with that. If you let your partner treat you badly don't put all the blame on him/her for doing so and playing the victim game. You're allowed to say no and stop it. If you wanna be dumb and say "but he/she may change", "I'm not happy" while staying into this toxic situation then that's your and solely your fault!

Bruh, this is so true. I've been getting together with this girl that I really liked. She liked me too . So I ended up caring for her, bringing her food, buying stuff for her. But months into it, she started to see my flaws. She said she can't tolerate what I do or my mistakes (example of mistakes: Being busy all the time because of a hectic schedule, sometimes forrgetting to say goodnight because I'm too tired). It was okay for me at the time but as time goes by, I loved her more, BUT she started acting like crazy, saying that I should be more like other guys, I should be more like this or that.

But in today's time the definition of love has to be known as well. Because people in today's time only know of convenience. They love, hate, cry etc all if it's convenient for them. The whole bloody set of emotions have to be defined again. That's a lot to do man, and I am tired already

Dude, this "nowadays" is gratuitous. People have always admired the pictures they make of others. If you learn that you need to get to know the other person very well so you can admire their true self, you have the possibility to lead a good relationship. But you can still be surprised after many years. There is nothing as complicated like getting to know another person really well.
